How does DAXXIFY™ work?
DAXXIFY™ is a neuromuscular blocker that works by blocking the chemical signals that cause the muscle contractions that cause frown lines.
What is the active ingredient in DAXXIFY™?
The active ingredient in DAXXIFY™ is a purified protein called DaxibotulinumtoxinA-lanm. This is similar to the active ingredient in BOTOX® and Dysport®.
What makes DAXXIFY™ so different?
DAXXIFY™ is different because its active ingredient is stablized with a novel peptide protein. This allows DAXXIFY™ results to last much longer than other neuromuscular blocker treatments. DAXXIFY™ is also free of animal and human by-products, which is important for some clients for ethical and medical reasons.
Is DAXXIFY™ safe for everyone?
DAXXIFY™ was tested in a clinical trial of 2,800 people across all different age ranges and skin types. In this study, 96% of participants were satisfied with their results from DAXXIFY™, and no participants experienced any severe side effects. DAXXIFY™ is considered safe for all ages and skin types.
How should I prepare for my DAXXIFY™ appointment?
We will provide you with full instructions on how to prepare your skin for your DAXXIFY™ injections. While each client’s situation is different, all clients should avoid the following medications if they take them:
- Retin-A
- Blood thinners
- Muscle relaxants
- Fish or oils rich in omega 3
- Allergy medication
- Topical steroids
- Sleep medications and supplements
- Aspirin
- St. John’s Wort
- Supplements containing vitamin E
- Ibuprofen
Be sure to let us know if you take any of these medications or any other medication that frequently causes interactions or sensitivity.
What is a DAXXIFY™ treatment like?
If you’ve ever had a BOTOX® or Dysport® treatment, a DAXXIFY™ treatment will be very similar. We use the smallest needles possible to inject the DAXXIFY™ solution, with most clients describing the feeling as a small pinch. If you experience discomfort during your DAXXIFY™ treatment, tell your aesthetician immediately.
How soon will I see results with DAXXIFY™?
Most people see results with DAXXIFY™ within two days, but some may see results in as few as one.
How long will my DAXXIFY™ results last?
DAXXIFY™ results last on average 6–9 months, well beyond the 3–4 months you can expect with other neuromuscular blocker treatments for frown lines.
