How PRF Gel Works
A sample of your blood is drawn and spun to isolate platelet-rich fibrin. That fibrin is then put through a controlled heating and cooling cycle, which converts it into a gel with body and structure rather than a liquid.
Injected, the gel provides gentle volume immediately while its growth factors stimulate fibroblast activity and new collagen over the following weeks. Because it contains nothing synthetic, it integrates smoothly and carries none of the risks associated with synthetic filler in delicate areas.
Who PRF Gel Is For
PRF Gel is a strong option for patients who:
- Want under-eye improvement without hyaluronic acid filler
- Have mild hollowing rather than significant fat pad descent
- Have had puffiness or unevenness from filler under the eyes before
- Prefer a treatment using only their own tissue
It is a subtle, biological treatment. Patients with significant volume loss may see a better result from filler or a combination approach.
What to Expect
The appointment starts with a blood draw. While the sample is processed into gel, topical numbing is applied. The gel is then injected into the treatment area, usually with a blunt cannula for safety in the under-eye region.
Plan on 60 to 90 minutes for the full visit.
Aftercare
Mild swelling or redness in the first 24 to 48 hours is normal, and bruising is possible in the under-eye area. Sleep with your head elevated on the first night and avoid strenuous exercise for a day.
Improvement continues to develop over several weeks as collagen forms, with the skin quality change often more noticeable at eight to twelve weeks than at two.

Frequently Asked Questions
How is PRF Gel different from regular PRF?
Standard PRF is a liquid used mainly to stimulate collagen. PRF Gel is processed further into a gel with structure, so it adds gentle volume as well as stimulating tissue.
Is PRF Gel the same as filler?
No. Filler is a manufactured product. PRF Gel is made from your own blood during your appointment, so there is nothing synthetic involved and no risk of allergic reaction.
How long does it last?
Results build over several weeks and are typically maintained with periodic treatment. Your provider will set expectations for your specific case at consultation.
