How Daxxify Works
Daxxify is daxibotulinumtoxinA. Like other neuromodulators it blocks the nerve signal that tells a muscle to contract, so treated muscles relax and the skin above stops creasing.
What differs is its formulation. Daxxify uses a peptide carrier rather than human or animal-derived proteins, and that carrier is associated with its longer duration of effect.

Daxxify suits patients who:

- Travel frequently or have unpredictable schedules
Because the effect lasts longer, dosing conservatively on a first treatment is sensible. Your provider will discuss that approach with you.
What to Expect
Treatment takes about 15 minutes. Injection points are marked and a series of small injections is placed with a fine needle. No numbing is needed and there is no recovery period.
Aftercare
Small bumps at the injection sites settle within an hour, and light bruising is possible. Stay upright for four hours and avoid strenuous exercise until the next day.
Results typically begin within a few days and reach full effect at two weeks. Many patients then go up to six months before returning.
