Pure Plasma™

Pure Plasma is an FDA-cleared device that uses thermal energy delivered by super-heated nitrogen to reach the deeper layers of the skin, stimulating collagen production for up to 12 months after a single treatment. It treats the entire dermal architecture rather than only the surface.

Pure Plasma

How Pure Plasma Works

Pure Plasma converts nitrogen gas into plasma energy, which delivers controlled heat through the surface of the skin into the deeper dermal layers. That heat triggers a sustained collagen and elastin response that continues to build for up to 12 months after a single session.

Because the energy is thermal rather than light-based, it does not target a specific pigment or chromophore. It treats the entire dermal architecture, which is why it improves texture, tone, laxity and fine lines together rather than one at a time.

Who Pure Plasma Is For

Pure Plasma suits patients who want a meaningful, structural change in skin quality rather than a surface refresh. Common goals:

  • Overall skin texture and tone
  • Fine lines and early laxity
  • Sun damage and uneven pigment
  • Acne scarring and textural irregularity

What Pure Plasma Is Not

Pure Plasma is not PRP and it is not a laser. It is also not the old plasma pen. Earlier plasma pen devices were invasive and painful, and Pure Plasma is not the same technology. If you have read about plasma pens and been put off, this is a different treatment entirely.

What to Expect

Topical numbing is applied before treatment. Your provider passes the handpiece over the treatment area, delivering controlled thermal energy at a depth matched to your goals and your skin. You will feel warmth throughout.

The intensity of the treatment is adjustable, so the plan is built around how much recovery time you can accommodate.

Aftercare

Expect redness, tightness and a sensation like sunburn immediately afterward, followed by several days of flaking as the treated surface renews. Keep the skin moist, avoid picking, and use strict sun protection while healing.

Surface improvement appears within the first few weeks. The deeper collagen response continues building for up to 12 months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Pure Plasma the same as PRP?

No. PRP uses your own blood, drawn and concentrated before being injected. Pure Plasma uses thermal energy from super-heated nitrogen and involves no blood draw. The two are unrelated treatments that share a similar-sounding name.

Is Pure Plasma a laser?

No. Lasers deliver light energy absorbed by a specific target in the skin. Pure Plasma delivers thermal energy that heats the dermal layers directly.

Is this the same as a plasma pen?

No. Older plasma pens were invasive and painful. Pure Plasma is an FDA-cleared device that works differently and is not comparable.

How long do results last?

Collagen stimulation continues for up to 12 months after treatment, and the improvement in skin quality builds across that period.
