IV Therapy

IV therapy delivers fluids, vitamins and nutrients directly into the bloodstream, bypassing the digestive system so absorption is complete rather than partial. A session takes 30 to 60 minutes and formulations are selected to match your goal.

How IV Therapy Works

Nutrients taken orally have to survive digestion, and only a fraction is absorbed. Delivered intravenously, the full dose reaches your bloodstream and is available to your cells immediately.

That difference is most noticeable with hydration and with nutrients that are poorly absorbed orally. A formulation is chosen based on what you are trying to address rather than given as a standard mix.

Who IV Therapy Is For

Patients come in for a range of reasons:

  • Dehydration, particularly in the Florida heat
  • Fatigue and low energy
  • Immune support
  • Recovery after illness, travel or intense exercise
  • Support alongside a medical weight loss program

Your provider will confirm IV therapy is appropriate for you before treatment.

What to Expect

You will be seated comfortably while a small IV line is placed, usually in the arm. The infusion runs over 30 to 60 minutes depending on the formulation and volume. You can read, work or rest while it runs.

Most patients feel the hydration effect before they leave.

Aftercare

There are no restrictions afterward. Mild bruising at the IV site is possible. Keep drinking water through the rest of the day.

Frequency depends on your reason for treatment. Some patients come occasionally, others on a regular schedule.
