Hormone Replacement Therapy (Evexias)

Hormone replacement therapy with Evexias uses bioidentical hormones to restore levels that decline with age. Treatment begins with lab work and a physician evaluation, and dosing is individualized based on your health history, lab results, and symptoms.

How Hormone Therapy Works

Hormone levels fall with age, and the effects show up long before anyone connects them to hormones: fatigue that sleep does not fix, loss of muscle despite training, weight that will not move, low mood, poor concentration, reduced libido.

Bioidentical hormones are structurally identical to the hormones your body produces. Replacing what has declined, guided by your own lab values, aims to return levels to a healthy range rather than push them artificially high.

The Evexias method uses pellet-based delivery, which releases hormone steadily rather than in the peaks and troughs that come with creams or weekly injections. Confirm the delivery method that applies to you at consultation.

Who Hormone Therapy Is For

Both men and women are candidates. Patients typically come in reporting:

  • Persistent fatigue and low energy
  • Difficulty losing weight or maintaining muscle
  • Low mood, irritability or brain fog
  • Reduced libido
  • Poor sleep
  • For women, symptoms associated with perimenopause and menopause

Eligibility depends on your labs and your medical history. Hormone therapy is not appropriate for every patient, and the evaluation exists to determine that honestly.

What to Expect

Treatment begins with comprehensive lab work and a consultation covering your symptoms, history and goals. Dr. Besnoff reviews your results and determines whether hormone therapy is appropriate and at what dose.

If you proceed, dosing is individualized to your labs. Follow-up testing confirms that levels have reached the target range and allows adjustment before the next cycle.

Ongoing Care

Hormone therapy is not a one-time treatment. It is an ongoing relationship built on periodic lab work and dose adjustment, because the right dose for you now may not be the right dose in a year.

Most patients begin noticing changes in energy and sleep within the first weeks, with fuller effects on body composition, mood and libido developing over the following months.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is hormone therapy only for women?

No. Men are treated as often as women, most commonly for declining testosterone presenting as fatigue, loss of muscle mass, low mood and reduced libido.

How do I know if I need it?

Symptoms point toward it, but lab work confirms it. Treatment is never started on symptoms alone.

How often will I need follow-up?

Periodic lab testing and dose review are part of the program. Your physician will set the interval based on your results and how you respond.

Can hormone therapy help with weight?

Hormone balance affects body composition, energy and how you respond to training. It is not a weight loss treatment on its own, but it can remove an obstacle for patients whose levels are genuinely low.
