What Chemical Peel Is Right For You?

From exposure to the sun’s harsh rays to pollutants and more, our environment can wreak havoc on our skin. These factors, along with the natural aging process and improper skin care, can diminish the appearance of the skin. Thankfully, with advanced chemical peel formulations, we can smooth and refine the skin to restore its natural glow.

We offer many different chemical peels at our center, but which one is right for your cosmetic goals? Find out below.

Chemical Peel Options

Different chemical peels work for different skin types and skin concerns. The range of advanced chemical peels available at Ultimate Image Cosmetic Medical Center include:

Lactic Enzyme Peel

Our lactic enzyme peel is a gentle option for people looking to:

  • Reduce redness
  • Hydrate the skin
  • Plump and firm the skin

This peel will help your skin retain moisture for a brighter, softer complexion. Additionally, no downtime is required after this peel, making it an easy option for those with hectic schedules.

Acne Peel

If you struggle with breakouts, our acne peel can help clear out clogged pores and reduce excess oil in the skin. It includes 35 percent salicylic acid to deeply cleanse the skin and complement the effects of extractions.

This peel causes mild to moderate skin peeling on the fourth or fifth day after it’s administered. The peeling will last for four to seven days, after which you’ll be left with a clearer, brighter, and healthier complexion.

Glycolic Acid Peel

Our glycolic acid peel is ideal for those looking to reduce wrinkles, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and melasma. It’s safe for all skin tones and is ideal for new users with dry to combination skin. We offer both 30 percent (light peel) and 50 percent strength (medium-depth peel) to tailor the glycolic acid peel to different patients’ needs. Green tea is also used in this peel to speed up healing and relieve redness.

Jessner Peel

The Jessner peel is typically a good choice for those looking to reduce:

  • Rough skin
  • Enlarged pores
  • Acne scars
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Oily skin

This peel contains lactic acid, salicylic acid, and resorcinol. The depth of a Jessner peel can be altered according to how many layers are applied. Additionally, those with darker skin tones typically aren’t good candidates for the Jessner peel.

70% AHA Vitamin C Peel

The 70% AHA Vitamin C peel is an effective option if you struggle with:

  • Fine lines
  • Wrinkles
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Mild scarring
  • Uneven skin tone

This is a superficial peel with a deep strength, so it’s a good choice for those who have received chemical peels before. It’s safe for all skin tones and will provide the best results for normal to dry skin types after multiple treatment sessions.

20% TCA Intense Peel

The 20% TCA Intense Peel provides excellent results for:

  • Signs of aging
  • Severe acne
  • Hyperpigmentation
  • Acne vulgaris

This peel triggers collagen production in the skin to speed up the healing process. Again, it’s not recommended for darker skin tones because of the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation.
